Editing: Effects and Treatments

Editing of music video.
For the editing of my music video I used Adobe Premier Pro. To start I put all of the footage into premier and then put the music in as well.

To start the sequence I put the music in to its own audio track and then placed markers within the audio track for when I wanted certain shots and events to coincide with the music. I then began placing the footage on the second video layer so that I had room on either side to add extra elements to the footage.

This can be seen within the first section of the video as the seen cuts from two different angles. To make the editing easier I placed the two shots on two different layers but at the same time in the video but cut out sections of the top layer footage so that the bottom layer showed through at the cut points.

Dizzy Knock Out Sequence

For this sequence I placed 3 extra versions of the same shot on top of each other but lowered each of the layers opacity and added a hue to each layer. I then used key frames to move the footage around the screen. I used 4 key frames for each clip and made them move differently to each other.

Matrix Sequence

For this sequence I put to images of black bars into the timeline that spanned over the shot to give a parody cinematic style to it.

To add the coloured glitch effect I cut out small sections of clip and lowered the opacity and added a coloured hue to each cut out. I then placed the cut outs within the sequence.
