This video parody's 70's TV cop dramas but applies it to a music video with an extended narrative. With this video I would like to use the comedic parodying of 70's police dramas and then apply it further by having a representation of men and women in the workplace.
This video just parody's 80's video styles without an extended narrative. This video does well in having a comedic parodying style which I would like to apply but the lack of a narrative means that I would have to apply one but the lyrics limit that. The video itself does have a lot of intertextuality to the movie it was produced along side with.
This video is narrative based with a performance element. The video shows some of the music being played in the video and also all the lyrics being lipped synced. The video does well with using a variation of shots that show the emotion on each characters face and the wide shots showing musicians and dancing. The narrative is well told using the lyrics.
